 About

Shree AnanthNagar is a layout situated in the south of Bangalore. Situated about 11 kms from the Central Silk Board junction on Hosur Road (NH7).

To satisfy the spiritual needs we have an architecturally beautiful temple called “Shree Venkataramana Devastana” in midst of natures beauty and bounty. For the temple the foundation stone was laid on 20.06.1992 and the work was completed by 2003. The activities of temple are being managed and looked after by the managing committee of G.S.B. Welfare Association which is a registered body under Govt. of Karnataka Act. The Venkatramana temple in Sree Ananthnagar in Electronic City presents a picture of serenity. Construction for the temple commenced in 1997 and was completed in 2003. The main deity here is Balaji (Venkatramana). There are other idols of Anjaneya, Ganesha, Lakshmi and Gaurda, all carved by the legendary Rajal Radha Madhav Shenoy of Karkala in Dakshina Kannada. The sculpture is by the eminent Stapathi Karuppiah of Pudukk-ottai near Tanjavoor in Tamil Nadu. The architectural array and sculptural stateliness of this temple evinces a cultural synthesis in the temples in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Presently, the temple is open from 6.30 am to 1 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Bus Route 350 D does not have much frequency - it plys twice in the morning and twice in the evening and takes commuters into the layout too.
