Various Festivals Celebrated at the Temple: Every year many festivals have been celebrated in the temple, with great pomp and magnificence: • Starting from Chaithra Shuddha Panchami, Brahma Rathotsava (car festival) during Ram Navami etc. • On Vaishakha Shuddha Trayodashi Lords’ Pratishtha Vardhanti and Panchamrith Abhisheka on Ashadha Shuddha Ekadashi to the Utsava Statue is done and on the same night Yakshagana, Talmaddale (traditional dance form of south canara) is performed. • On Ashadha Bahula Ekadashi whole night Sri Ram Ekahbhajan (singing devotional songs) is performed. • Krishnashtami (Lord Krishna’s birthday), Vitlapindi are also celebrated. • On Bhadrapada Shuddha Chouti Ganesh Chaturthi (Lord Ganesha’s birthday) is celebrated for 5 days. • From Ashwija Shuddha Shashti till Vijaydashami, the Sharadotsava is celebrated. • From Ashwij Shuddha Ekadashi to Karthik Shuddha Dwadashi Paschim Jagrun Aarti (Early morning Pooja to the Lord) is celebrated. • Deepotsava is celebrated during Karthik Bahula Panchami, • From Margasheera Shuddha Panchami to Mukkoti Dwadashi Sri Ram Bhajana Sankeerthana Sapthah (7 days continuously singing bhajans/devotional songs), • Rathasapthami is celebrated • Madhvanavami, Bheeshmashtami are celebrated magnificently. • Along with this Purana Pravachana(discource on the Puranas and scriptures), Harikeerthane, Yakshagana(folk dance), music events, puppet shows (gombeyaata) and drama (nataka) also take place in the temple. Various Vehicles of the Lord: For Lord’s festive procession the temple possesses: Sri Gandhada Pallakki (sandalwood palanquin), Belli Pallakki (silver palanquin), Belli Laalaki, Belli Gombe Vahana, Belli Ratha (silver cart), Bandi Vahana, Chandra Mandala, Flower Cart, Brahma Rath etc.
